Snowshoe & Ski KulTour Klosters (Postponed)
Around 700 years ago, Walser people from Davos migrated to Prättigau.
Originally from Valais, these experts in high alpine agriculture shaped the land and its people with their way of life and work. Even today, the numerous stables and mountain pastures still characterise the landscape.
The Walser people were a nomadic people who migrated between summer and winter pastures. They built wooden huts with stone foundations, which they called "Maiensässe". These huts were used as summer pastures for their cattle and as storage space for their belongings.
